There is no hard file size limit, but because all processing happens in your browser, very large files can take longer and may hit browser memory limits. If you experience a problem with a very large file, try splitting it into smaller parts first.

Yes. All five tools — merge, split, compress, image to PDF, and PDF to image — are completely free to use with no limits on the number of files you process.

Nothing. Since your files never leave your device, there is no server storage and no file history. Once you close the tab, your files and the generated results are gone from memory.

Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot be opened or processed, because the decryption key is intentionally not available to us. Scanned and normal digital PDFs work fine.

Yes, that is exactly what compression trades away. Our compressor re-renders every page as a compressed image at a resolution and quality you choose. Lower settings produce smaller files with more visible compression artifacts, while higher settings keep pages sharper but reduce the file less.
